Tyler has called ever day with some cool new thing that he did. The dive he did, the $1,000 per night hotel that he toured (note: he did STAY here, just toured it), the delicious dinners. Then he pauses and asks me what I did and I have to stop and wonder between changing diapers, mopping the floor and doing laundry if I had done anything. I think next time we should just travel with him, it sounds much more glamorous. We have squeezed in a few fun things like a trip to the beach but mostly the week has been spent cleaning and doing more cleaning, trying to get everything back together after the visit.
Having the whole family here, especially the two babies, made me realize how big my girls are! Where did my babies go?! Emily is three and a half. She is going to start school here in the fall complete will full days and school uniforms. She has long "princess hair" and loves to be read to. And her imagination. . . . wow. She loves preschool and is learning her letters and how to write her name. She even likes to draw "humans." Hannah is almost one and half. She is fiercely independent and detests anything that hampers her freedom (i.e. holding hands in parking lots). She is a competitor with her sister and keeps up like a champ. She loves the ocean, the playground and her sister. As I followed her up the play structure at a restaurant I realized I wasn't doing it for her, she was totally fine and capable, I was doing it for me. It is hard for me to realize how huge my girls are! So last night when Emily had a cough and just wanted to cuddle up with me in bed, I savored her being my little girl, at least for a little bit. I savor how big and independent they are, but sometimes I miss my little cuddle babies!
So to close it off, here are a few pictures of my two BIG girls.
