Future Cougar? Or Zoologist?

Hannah currently has a love for cougars. It started with matching BYU shirts that Tyler bought the girls. Tyler bought the shirts last summer, but it is really fitting Hannah now. Just before we left Korea last summer we took the girls to Everland (amusement park) and Hannah grabbed this stuffed tiger and wouldn't let it go. We ended up leaving with the tiger and she has slept with it in her crib most nights since. Within the last month or so the stuffed animal and the shirt have morphed into one "Baby Cougar." Hannah now calls the stuffed animal "Cou-Cou" and loves it to death. She loved to snuggle it, to kiss it, etc. We often hear Hannah when she wakes up talking to baby "Cou-Cou" and "Poooohhhhh," her two favorite little friends.

This morning as I was getting ready I found Hannah standing on the couch rifling through the piles of clean laundry. She would find a white shirt, hold it up and throw it to the side. I watched curiously until she finally found her BYU shirt. She held it up and exclaimed "Babeeee Cou-Cou!" She hugged it to her and then turned around to find me with a look of pure glee on her face.

She of course spent the rest of the day in her cougar shirt, with baby cougar tucked under her arm. What a girl! Tyler is thrilled with his little BYU girl. I find myself wishing that UCSD had a more snuggly mascot than the Triton. . . . somehow I just don't think that will do it for Hannah. We have also had no luck finding cute UCSD shirts like these BYU ones. So for now at least Hannah can take joy in being a cougar.
