Happy Birthday Tyler!

It turned out to be quite an uneventful day, but enjoyable none-the-less. Birthdays on Sundays when you have three hours of church and all sorts of responsibilities just somehow aren't as fun. Emily even caught on this year and told Tyler it couldn't be his birthday because it was Sunday and he needed to have his friends over and have a party. But we made the most of it and had a great day!

Tyler requested blueberry muffins for breakfast, cheesy potato soup, bread bowls, and since he was tiring of traditional cake a cinnamon strudel coffee cake for dinner. I didn't realize it, but the menu of choice resulted in me spending ALL afternoon in the kitchen. It was worth it, though, Tyler enjoyed it all. The bread bowls were a first attempt at homemade bowls, it is amazing how hard small rounds of bread can be to find once you leave the US. Not too bad for a first attempt. Here is a pictures. Sadly it is the only picture taken all day long, and I didn't even take it, Tyler did.

The rest of the day was spent playing hide and go seek with the girls and relaxing.

Happy Birthday Tyler!! We love you so much. You are the best husband and father EVER!

Can I have the recipes for the bread bowls and Tyler's Mom' infamous chocolate fudge cake? Please? Most of our stuff are in storage :(

Absolutely! I will try to dig it all out later and email it your way. Isn't it fun living between storage and your house and not really knowing what is where!
