Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We hope everyone enjoyed their day. Our girls celebrated three times over.

First was an egg hunt in the neighborhood for confetti eggs. Anyone ever heard of confetti eggs? We never had, but they are obviously a strong Texas (elsewhere too?) tradition! Instead of plastic or hard boiled eggs, the kids run around finding eggs that have been hollowed out and then filled with confetti. They are dyed and decorated with tissue paper and are quite pretty. After finding the eggs the eggs are broken over people's heads. As you can see the kids were quite into it. They also enjoyed riding bikes and doing sidewalk chalk with the kids from the neighborhood.

On Saturday we celebrated with a family picnic at the park with Tyler's parents and his older brother Kit and his family. The kids had fun playing and hunting for eggs in the woods. And the candy, did they love the candy. Let's just say our kids "got" the Easter Bunny this year. . . .

On Sunday the baby and I stayed home from church (I was sick) but Tyler took the girls. Before church they hunted for their Easter baskets and found some little goodies. After church the whole family was together again for dinner, which was so good! We had a great holiday!
