Update

Sorry to everyone for the terrible lag in blogging. I did go ahead and back-date a bunch of blogs I had worked on earlier in the month. I had to connect to the internet to upload the pictures, hence the delay.

Our biggest news delayed us in Houston for about another week. One week ago yesterday Emily had her tonsils removed. They had been large, nothing seemed to help, so my up-until-now-perfectly-healthy girl had to have surgery. She was an amazingly brave little girl. It is so hard to watch your baby go into surgery and even harder to watch her in pain afterwards, but in true Emily form she handled it like a trooper. She did at one point, while in pain, ask to have her tonsils put back in. She spent the last week enjoying a practical IV of ice cream and milk shakes and watching an endless supply of TV and movies. I think she is finally on the mend.

Tyler stayed through the surgery and had to finally leave on on Sunday to return to Barbados. We will join him next Thursday for about four weeks before we make the big move this summer.

It has been a crazy year for us so far, we just thankful for so much family who have loved us and helped take care of us. Houston is feeling just like home to us after three months! In some ways it will be very hard to leave. But it will be nice to get home!

I'm ready to go home just to share parenting duties again! Several nights of three kids solo at bedtime has not been fun. I'm not looking forward to the solo flight with three little ones, but it will be so nice to have Tyler to help us out again! I will need a vacation after all of this!

I am sorry to hear about Emily. I hope she is feeling better. Good luck on the solo flight. Glad it is you and not me. Been there too many times.

Good luck on the flight! You are a brave woman! Hopefully lots of kind people will cross your path (and open doors for you on the way).
