Diaper Switch
Thanks everyone for our great advice. After some research and some deliberating we have made the switch to cloth diapering. We went with Bum Genius 3.0 and LOVE them. I love not creating so much waste, I love how easy they are, and I love that they seem so comfortable. Even Hannah (who is completely day-time potty trained) prefers them at night. So thank you, thank you. Obviously with all the travels this summer we will be bouncing between cloth and disposable, but I have nothing but great things to say thus far. And seriously not adding to the landfills with my diapers that take 300 years to bio-degrade makes me feel better.

I really Like the BG as well, but I can't get Chris to fully commit. Someday, maybe!
Those are my favorites as well! (And I'm jealous that you actually figured out what type to get before you bought a bunch--I have too many to justify buying anymore, but would love to have them all the same).
Hey--when do you guys get to DC? Are you crazy busy or would you have time to meet up at all? We're only 7 or so hours away (I think) and would love to see you guys if we could make it work!)
As soon as we get a washer, I'd love to stop contributing to the world's landfills! Without a washer, though, I might loose my sanity!
Good find! Way to go!
I continue to contemplate using cloth diapers. I'll probably get more serious about it if we ever have more than one child in diapers at a time.
By the way, I know we haven't talked in forever. We were friends in San Diego, remember? Remember?
I just remembered that you have a blog. So I tracked you down and linked you and now we can be blog friends. Hooray!
Jen, FILL ME IN on these cloth diapers. We're interested in switching over, but what is involved? I'm talking logistics. How do you clean/sanitize them, travel with them (I'm assuming you use disposable then, right?), how many do you need, is there a good age to start using them with a baby?, etc. I'd love to hear your take on all of this. Thank you!!! We hope to see you in Korea this year! So glad you'll be in Busan too.
Glad you enjoy them. For some reason I didn't like them until I tried them out again for naptime after hearing about how Hannah liked them. Wow, they are a doing an awesome job! Glad you like them.
