My parents came into town for one last visit before we fly out and to help us celebrate Emily's 5th birthday. We spent the day on the National Mall enjoying the monuments, which is one of my all-time favorite DC activities. We visited the Washington Monument, the new World War II Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and finally the Lincoln Memorial. I love visiting these memorials-- it reminds me of the beauty of being an American. We have such a great history as a country and I love having the chance to introduce my children to some of this.
