Easter Festivities

Easter fell on Sunday this year, which from a religious standpoint is a neat occurrence. Sundays for us are a little crazy. Between Tyler's meetings before and after church and the long drive we rarely do much on Sunday other than church. Given our Sunday routine, we decided to focus Sunday on the religious aspect of Easter, and celebrate the more kid-friendly version of Easter on Saturday.

We started off with an Easter egg hunt at the house. The Easter bunny left each of the girls a small basket of goodies. . . . and hid the confetti eggs around the house. I'm too environmentally conscious to want to do the confetti eggs outside- the dye, the small bits of paper, it just seems too messy for the earth. So we do them inside, and then take advantage of our build in vacuum!

Some serious bed head.

After the small indoor egg hunt we packed up a picnic and joined our friends the Cruzs and the Jollys at Ulsan Grand Park for a picnic and egg hunt. The park is fantastic- bike trails, playgrounds, a small zoo, a butterfly house, a pool, etc. We really have only scratched the surface in our exploration, but the kids love it. We had filled probably 200 plastic eggs and took them out to hide for the kids. After a great potluck picnic the eggs were hidden and the kids let loose to find them.

Emily was an egg pro.

At one point I looked around and panicked that I could not see Hannah. . . then we found her off on her own raking in the eggs. Smart girl- head for the uninhabited corner of the hunt!

Even Maddie had an impressive haul.

Sugar craziness.

We spent Easter Sunday attending our church meetings, and then having dinner with our good friends from church. It was a really nice, mellow day.
