St. Augustine, Florida

We made it safely to Florida and even managed to weather Tyler's 12 hour surgery (it was only supposed to be four hours, he proved to be a challenge). So far so good for Tyler, he is feeling better and just taking it easy. We will see how he is doing in a few months, but we are crossing our fingers everything worked perfectly!

Finally on Sunday we were able to leave Jacksonville for a short day trip to St. Augustine, Florida. It was a beautiful old city that claims to be the oldest in the U.S. We walked around the old fort, which was really neat, and then had lunch at a small Mexican restaurant while it poured outside. We ended the day walking the historic main street section and doing some sightseeing. All in all we wish we had more time in this super fun city, but at least we got to enjoy some of it!

The girls decided on the way back to share a stroller, it was pretty funny!

On the way into town was a park with a merry-go-round. Emily LOVES merry-go-rounds and begged to go back and ride it. On the way out of town we stopped and she got her ride.

Take a look at that grown up looking Emily! Is it really Emily?
