Happy Birthday Emily!

It is official, we are now the parents of a four-year-old! Emily has been very excited to turn four and has been asking a lot recently when she gets to turn four, if her clothes will still fit when she is four, if she will be able to "read in her head" when she is four, etc. I think it was a big milestone for her!

We celebrated with a small party with a few kids from her preschool class. She was elated with her My Little Pony Breezie cake and with a gift from her friends Paige and Brooke: a Barbie. Emily has wanted a Barbie a lot in the last few months and we have really held out, alas no more. Ultimately though I decided who cares if she is enjoying it. She enjoy it she is!

Other birthday hits were the bucket of dinosaurs she had wanted for quite some time, the camera from Mama Bear and Papa Bear, and the new dress and matching doll dress for Emily's favorite doll Holly from her Nana and Papa. Hopefully the new toys will keep her entertained until school starts again!
