Christmas Eve

What says Christmas Eve Barbados style better than a morning at the beach?! Fully intending to capitalize on our last warm beach Christmas, we took the girls to Paynes Bay this morning to enjoy the water. It was beautiful as always and the kids had so much fun playing in the sand and swimming. Emily even invented her own version of the Barbados Snow Angel. I have the feeling the real snow angel is far less messy. . . . .

After the beach we enjoyed a few quiet minutes reading the Christmas story before we opened new pajamas for the kids and watched Ratatouille while eating dinner. The girls got to stay up past their bedtimes, and when it was finally time for bed Hannah was determined not to go. Tyler finally told her Santa could not come until she was in bed. Hannah, who is quite into Santa this year, bee-lined for her bed yelling, "Ok I go bed!!"

It was an absolutely perfect Christmas Eve. And now the house is clean, the presents are out, and we are ready for bed, too!
