Our last day in Jeju brought the most glorious weather of the entire trip. The temperature was a bit warmer, the sun was out, and it was amazingly clear. We headed out to the East side of the island to the Seongsan Sunrise Peak. It looked like a decent hike for our family. . . not too long.
The hike ended up taking about two hours, up the side of the peak. At the top, is a huge bowl-like crater formed thousands of years ago when Jeju was still an active volcano. Though the hike pushed us, everyone enjoyed the hike, and the view from the top was out of this world. We were really proud of the girls stamina in climbing the hundreds of steps we climbed to reach the top. I was equally impressed with stamina at seven months pregnant. . . I spent half of the trip carrying Maddie, too!

More Hannah.
Emily, who got a nasty splinter that almost ruined the hike. . . almost.

Gorgeous blooming canola flowers. Sometimes they are referred to in English as "Rape Flowers" here. . . not the best name in my mind!
Happy campers on the shuttle back to our car in Busan.
