Is the due date for baby Allen #3! Yup, we are expecting again and are THRILLED. I kept waiting to update hoping for a beautifully clear ultrasound picture to accompany it, but sadly no such luck. So you will get a picture-less post (though if I can find some of the early ultrasound pictures I will post them later).

So far it "looks boyish" as my OB keeps saying. One early ultrasound indicated a girl, but all since have leaned towards boy. We are assuming boy, though it would be fantastic to get a great look at my next appointment to confirm. . . . we will let you know! So we are busy adjusting to the idea of another male in the house. The girls are thrilled and both love touching my stomach. Tyler is excited about the idea of a son (though honestly would have been thrilled with either) and I am amazed that somehow I am already 28 weeks along, it has flown!

Prenatal care here has been a little sketchy and ultrasound machines are OLD. I seriously had more modern ultrasounds with Emily 5 years ago in Virginia. And then having Hannah in Korea spoiled us- 3D ultrasounds at every appointment. So needless to say the grainy pictures here have been a disappointment. But he is an active little guy who loves to move around and kick, especially when I finally slow down in the evening enough to feel him!

So the answers to the normal questions. . . . I am feeling great. I was sick as can be the beginning and so sad that it was during our vacation to the US. I had been craving Mexican, Burger King, Chipotle, etc. and ended up having to sit out most anything involving eating. But it cleared up and aside from being tired, I feel terrific. And no, I am NOT having this baby in Barbados. Rooms are shared, there is no NICU, you have to bring your own everything to the hospital (gowns, towels, etc). So come the end of January the girls and I will be taking up residence in Houston Texas for a few months to await the arrival of the baby. Tyler will join us about a week out and then as soon as we can get a passport and a medical clearance it is off to Barbados again (at least for four weeks until it is off the US again for training, followed by our return to Korea, more on our crazy summer later including a potential road trip from California to DC with three small children).

So life is busy, the girls keep me on my toes constantly, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Bring on #3, we are ready and excited!

I promise pictures of the belly soon. . . we had a bit of an incident with the digital camera and the tile floor. A new one is on order, but until then I am living in the dark age.
