The girls decided to take a much-welcomed break from the Princess realm this year and add a little diversity to the dress up bins. Emily chose to be Alice in Wonderland and made sure each detail of her costume was correct. Alice dress! White tights! Black shoes! To her horror I had forgotten to take her and attempt to find a black headband. Thankfully the excited of the day took over and she settled for a white bow!
Hannah opted for a butterfly costume and it has quickly become her alter-ego. She loves to be butterfly girl and fly through the house. She loves the wings, the tights, and of course the antenna. I think it's one of our cutest Halloween costumes yet!
Madeline was a baby ladybug and pulled it off adorably of course. Her costume was fleece and cozy which proved quite nice in the chilly air.
The girls kicked the day off with a Halloween extravaganza at school. The elementary classes participated in an all-morning party/carnival with games, candy, coloring, etc. There was even a costume parade and contest. So fun!
After school we loaded up and drove to Daegu to enjoy some good ol' American style trick-or-treating on base. It kicked off with a trunk-or-treat in the commissary parking lot and then proceeded from there to door-to-door style trick-or-treating. The girls loved it. Emily was so loud. She would ring a doorbell and just start yelling "TRICK OR TREAT!"
And what a good Halloween wouldn't end with Burger King for dinner? Yup, ours sure did. This proved to be Maddie's favorite part of the evening. She was finally warm and fed, what's not to like! We also got to watch some sugar strung-out kids just going mad in the play area. Pushing, tripping, toy taking. I wasn't too disappointed when my girls were too tired to play.
I'm feeling a little bummed with my quality of pictures from Halloween-- none of them are really talking to me! I was tired and just didn't put in the effort. Perhaps I will dress the kids up again later and take some cute ones. Or not, we'll see!

Dang! They're so CUTE! I love your pic with Maddie and a picture of Maddie bug with the hood on. Emily looks so beautiful with her coy smile :) and Hannah too, of course. Keep them coming.
Your kids are adorable and their costumes look great! How fun that Emily and I were twins!
I loved the costumes. I had forgotten all about the ladybug outfit. Our schools were a total dude. They don't even acknowledge the holiday other than to say "No Candy at school." What a bummer.
