In a continuation of the summer theme for the weekend, we took the girls to their first Lotte Giants baseball game. The Giants are a local Busan team that we have enjoyed watching while living here. Tyler has met the coach, who is an American, several times and was able to arrange for our group to meet him before the game. We also got to meet one of the American players who came over here to play. In the end the Giants lost, but we loved going to the game, it really felt like summer had arrived!

Enjoying the game
Koreans make their own pom-poms out of old newspapers. The person sitting next to us kindly made one for Emily.
Enjoying a milkshake.
Madeline loves Sarah!
Near the end of the game, they come around and toss rolls of orange bags into the crowd. Everyone takes a bag and passes the roll on. They then take the bags and hats out of them, all variance of hats, bunny ears, flowers, etc. At the end of the game, they take the bags, fill them with their trash and deposit them in piles on the way out of the stadium. Talk about efficiency!

Very cleaver ideas. Somehow I don't think it would work here in America.... bummer.
